 Sonia is a friendly lop who enjoys lounging high up. She seems to especially like one spot in her condo right under a cardboard mini-home and on top of an old shirt of mine. She can see everything from up there and seems to think she is human or a dog, always sniffing and liking the fact that we are at the same eye level.
In her spare time, when she is not eating hay, going to the bathroom or munching on veggies, pellets and H2O, Sonia likes to open the door to her cage on her own, push a few wooden pencils around and then wander around the room. She loves standing on her hein legs and investigating. Miss Curious likes throwing cardboard boxes out of her path, running around her cage a few times then flopping right behind it. She is extremely happy if her feet are positioned to the side, lazy as can be. Comfortable Sonia has trouble wanting to explore at nighttime, therefore morning and afternoon she is out in the open, sneaking behind people and sniffing feet. She very often tries to follow me into the bathroom to explore, but she is not allowed. :( She also likes throwing her food bowls after she is finished eating. Strange huh? Well, we think she is trying to communicate. :)
When she is done during the day, her rest period is complicated. She goes into the second floor to lounge on the carpet and watch. she sleeps on the third floor so when she makes the final jump up, I know she is too tired to play or for too much interaction. Usually behind her ears petting is her nighttime remedy and then shes a little snoozer.
Sonia overall is a quiet sweetheart who seems to be adjusting well. She is eating, drinking and staying healthy. Her diet consists of many veggies and a cup of pellets a day. Water is always refilled and it seems she likes ice cube throwing. What a foot she has! |
