Sophocles

The bunnies took about 6 weeks to bond. They are currently living together in a triple-decker cage, although they have free range of the basement as well. Sophie developed a bad upper respiratory infection in March, but seems to have gotten over it.

I say that they are like one bunny with two heads. They like to huddle together, and will duck under each other if they are scared about something. They come hopping over every morning for their banana chips, and nudge each other out of the way when it's time for food. I've noticed that they tend to snuggle in the morning and explore later in the day. I'll often find one of them "standing guard" and the other exploring. When they're out and scared, they immediately run for the cage. My little cat likes to also go into the bunny cage. One of the photos shows Sophie going up to chase her out. Sophocles doesn't seem to mind her as much, and seems to be the mellower of the two.

Thanks for Sophocles; he's a great bunny, and Sophie definitely seems happier with him around.
