Life of a Working Bun
February 1998

Ok, so, today is my first day in the working environment. I've got to say it's pretty good.

Today, I have to go to the vet. Mom decided that it would be more convenient for her to take me along, instead of driving all the way home to get me mid-day then bring me back home.

So, this morning, I was playing in the dining room, and I saw my carrier innocently sitting on the floor. It looked like a fun place to play, so I hopped into it. All of a sudden, she shut me in, with *no* warning whatsoever and brought into work with her.

Luckily, I'm a confident kind of bunny, and I travel pretty well. My carrier was seat belted into the passenger seat of Mom's car, and I just snuggled down and watched her drive for a while. It was really boring.

We got into this place called "work" and Mom let me loose in a nice, carpeted room. She set up my carrier under a desk, and my litterbox in a corner, and my food near the carrier. I sniffed, and sniffed and sniffed everything! It was great! There were so many things to hide under!

A couple of people stopped by to talk to Mom, and pet me, of course. Most of the time, Mom sat in a chair and typed on her computer. On my excursions around the room, I would sometimes go and sit under her chair until she petted me. The desk was really nice to nap under and the carpet was comfy.

I've got to say that this work stuff is really great. I want to do it more. Truthfully, I don't know why my people are always complaining about it at home.
