The House Rabbit Network Has a Successful 2006For Immediate Release
January 12, 2007 The House Rabbit Network is pleased to announce that we placed 141 rabbits into good, indoor homes during 2006! This number far exceeds the number of adoptions in 2005 and includes both single rabbits and bonded pairs. Additionally, the House Rabbit Network held 40 Education Days at locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts including pet shops, fairs and even Starbucks. The Education Days, run by volunteers, help the public learn about house rabbits and often lead to adoptions (however, rabbits cannot be adopted on-site at one of these educational events). We were also the recipients of grants from Walmart, PetCo, and the prestigious Oxbow Rescue Grant from Oxbow Pet Products. Each year Oxbow Pet Products awards only three grants to organizations throughout the United States in recognition of their outstanding education programs for small animals. Rabbits are wonderful, rewarding pets. Rabbits are clean, intelligent companions and are easily litterbox trained. You might find that a rabbit is the perfect pet for you and your family. For general information on rabbits and their care, please read our “Bunny Basics” article found on our website www.rabbitnetwork.org. Our website contains countless other useful articles about living with house rabbits. You can also check out our pages of rabbits available for adoption and if you are considering adopting a rabbit, please call us at 781-431-1211. The House Rabbit Network is a Massachusetts-based 501 ©3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization. We are dedicated to saving and adopting out unwanted bunnies and educating the public about rabbits. We can always use more volunteers! Donations of any amount are always welcome and are used to support our efforts to find loving, forever homes for each and every bunny. Thank you for your continued support. |
