February is Adopt a Rescued Rabbit Month!

For Immediate Release
February 1, 2005

The House Rabbit Network is pleased to announce that February is Adopt a Rescued Rabbit Month! Rabbits are the third most common pet found at area animal shelters and in need of loving homes. If you are looking for a great pet, consider adopting a rabbit!

These small mammals make excellent pets. Rabbits are intelligent, social animals capable of forming lifelong bonds with their human companions. Whether housed in a small city apartment or a spacious country home, the quiet well-mannered house rabbit will be a welcome addition. They are capable of being litter-box trained, and their playful antics will warm your heart for years to come. After all, a well cared for house rabbit has a lifespan of five to ten years.

The House Rabbit Network has dozens of bunnies up for adoption, from all shapes, breeds, sizes, and ages. They are all spayed or neutered and many are litterbox trained. To learn more about the the House Rabbit Network, please visit our website at www.rabbitnetwork.org. The House Rabbit Network is a Massachusetts-based 501(c)3 non-profit, all volunteer organization celebrating our 5th year.

HRN is dedicated to saving and adopting unwanted bunnies, and educating the public about rabbit care. Call our hotline at 781-431-1211. We have many volunteer opportunities. We accept donations to fund our efforts to find a forever loving home for every bunny.
