This Easter, Make Mine Chocolate! For Immediate ReleaseThe House Rabbit Network is collaborating with the Columbus, Ohio chapter of the House Rabbit Society by spreading the word that this Easter, instead of a live bunny as a gift, "Make Mine Chocolate!" The “Make Mine Chocolate” campaign is a national campaign to create awareness and reduce the number of uneducated, impulse purchases of live rabbits as Easter gifts. The House Rabbit Network, as well as all rabbit rescues and shelters, is bombarded every year with former “Easter bunnies” that are no longer wanted as pets. This is usually the time when the bunnies are maturing and the children tire of playing with them. Worse is the number of rabbits “set free” each year, facing danger of predators, cars, weather, and starvation. The House Rabbit Network is featuring this campaign online along with the MMC website HRN is also promoting the special Make Mine Chocolate merchandise including the pins, which is very useful as a conversation starter. The pins are available online on our shopping page. This Easter, help House Rabbit Network spread the word to “Make Mine Chocolate!” To learn more about the House Rabbit Network, please visit our website at www.rabbitnetwork.org.
