• Bunny items for sale
  • We had a donation of Nicholas Wilson prints, signed by the artist. They are available for $30 each. Thanks to Melissa for arranging the donation
  • Calendars are now available. The price is higher this year, but we have professional printing. Thanks to Kathy, Ahsan and Shannon for their work on it.
• Adoptions
  • We have had 89 adoptions to date.
  • Our numbers are down significantly from the last two years and may be our slowest year in the last 4. No known reason why. One possible reason is that more people are using Petfinder, so our rabbits don't stand out as much.
• Treasury
  • Financially we are doing well- building up a solid reserve for getting shelter space.
  • Katherine Meuse will be taking over the books.
• Website
  • We can use more help on the web site. Especially people with more experience that can help put in a search engine and other features.
  • We hit the 500,000 mark for page hits!
  • We have been averaging over 400 page hits per day
• Easter
  • We will be doing the MMC campaign again next year. Kathy K will coordinate.
  • We are also looking to create a flash animation with an Easter message. Illustrators needed!
• Hotline
  • Diane asked for help on the weekend hotline. Ellie agreed to help out.
• Press Releases
  • There is a need for someone to send out regular press releases for our organization.
  • J volunteered to learn it. I will be working with her to set her up.
  • Erin will be contacted to see if she wants do them again and work with J
• Email lists
  • We have three email lists
  • HRNVol which is for our volunteers where we discuss volunteer activities.
  • HRNChat which is where people can talk about their bunnies.
  • HRN which is just announcements for the public. This has been a great promotional tool for us to keep the general public informed.
• Education Events
  • Diane asked for volunteers to do more education events.
  • We discussed how important it is spread the word and plant seeds in people's minds that rabbits need homes and should be indoors.
  • We discussed how it is important to educate the public that rabbits are in shelters
• Dreaming of a White Bunny Campaign
  • Kathy King is going to organize an "I'm Dreaming of a White Bunny" campaign for the holidays
  • She is going to come up with ideas, will need web support.
• Newsletters
  • Last newsletter came out about two weeks ago
  • Christine and Shannon are doing a great job with it
  • Our membership continues to grow and is now over 100
• Fund Raising
  • Vyvyane is going to look into some fund raising ideas.
  • Vyvyane will be contacting Jessica after the holidays and look into the silent auction.
• Volunteer needs
  • We have a good core group of volunteers, however we can always use more
  • Greatest needs are for education events and for cage cleaning
  • Volunteers are encouraged to submit ideas. However, please be understanding if your idea is not implemented. There are usually ten good ideas we would like to implement for every hour of volunteer time. The ones that get done tend to be the ideas that someone steps forward and agrees to do.
  • Suzanne told people that she often has too much on her plate and sometimes drops things. So if you are waiting for something from her, feel free to pester her. She doesn't mind being reminded.
