  • 95 paid requests for this quarter totaling $23,905 ($21,230 same quarter last year)
  • 26 requests scheduled through August 2026
  • 6 requests currently open
  • 6 bunsitter discounts were given totaling 37 days
  • 4 new sitters were onboarded and 12 were removed from the group, for a net loss of 8 sitters this quarter. Many requests sit unfilled for several days/weeks and reminders are sent to the group. Bunsitting can always use more help.
  • An automatic email was recently set up that gets activated when a new request is received by the bunsitting email account. This will hopefully limit bunsitting request inquiries sent to the hotline and info email account.

Bonding  (as of 2/24/2026)

  • 3 virtual consultations and 1 shelter consultation totaling $140 (45 minute in-shelter consultations are now being offered for $65)
  • 8 in-person bondings totaling $3280. Breakdown: 4 successfully bonded pairs, 3 went home partially bonded and were given tips to help at home, 1 unsuccessful bond
  • Bonding is not accepting new in person bonding requests at this time. 2 of 3 volunteers are unavailable for the foreseeable future and the other volunteer has a 2 client waitlist. Those 2 clients put their bondings on hold temporarily
  • The next Bond-a-Thon is scheduled for 3/7 (25 total slots with 5 currently filled)

Shelter

  • Training our current 3 employees on many tasks- they are taking over training new volunteers, intakes and donations.
  • All three shelter employees are doing well.

Clinic

  • We are holding regular wellness days for our shelter & foster bunnies
  • We have set up vendor accounts and purchased medications to make treating our rabbits easier
  • Working on purchasing equipment- many items have been identified, searching for good pricing.

Foster Homes

  • Hosting another in person Foster Home Workshop on March 14, after spa day at the new location in Watertown.  Hoping to reach some of the foster homes not near the shelter
  • We have another mandatory protocol meeting scheduled for mid April

Hotline

  • Everything is running smoothly on the hotline. We’ve had a new addition:
    • Molly A. started in January
  • Kayla is taking a break to focus on managing the shelter volunteers and I am filling in on her day. We are still well-staffed and do not currently need anyone else.
