Frequently Asked Questions

How do I adopt a bunny from you?

Please complete this application, and you will receive an email from a member of our team with information about next steps in the adoption process. Please allow 48 hours to receive this initial email from our team.

Is this specific bunny still available?

If a bunny is listed on this page of our website, that means they haven’t been adopted yet. Our website updates automatically when a bunny is adopted. However, we cannot guarantee that bunny will be available by the time you complete the application process.

I want to adopt a bondmate for my bunny. Do you offer speed dating?

Absolutely! We highly encourage speed dating when bonding rabbits. We have many adoption counselors experienced in speed dating and bonding. Please complete this application, and you will receive an email from a member of our team with information about next steps in the bonding adoption process. Please allow 48 hours to receive this initial email from our team.

Would this specific bunny be a good bonding match for my bunny?

Truthfully, we won’t know for sure until you bring your bunny in for speed dating. Please submit an adoption application, and our team will be able to tell you more about each individual rabbit and help you put together a list of bunnies that may be a good fit.

How do I book bunsitting or grooming services with you?

To book boarding with HRN, please head to our Friends of HRN site and fill out the request form. To see when our upcoming Spa Days are, check out the upcoming dates and sign your bunny up here.

Could you help me find a rabbit-savvy vet in my area?

Absolutely! We have compiled a list of rabbit-savvy vets and hospitals on our website.

Can you help me find a vet that does low-cost spays & neuters?

Please go to this page and scroll to the bottom for a list of vets that may be able to help you with a low-cost spay/neuter.

I can no longer keep my bunny. How do I surrender my bunny to you?

Please fill out our surrender request application, and our intake team will get back to you with more information on our waitlist and next steps. House Rabbit Network reviews surrender requests from the public on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the season and current situation, it could take 2-3 months for us to be able to take a rabbit, though it is often sooner.

If you have an urgent situation, you can take your bun to the MSPCA or ARL.

I found an injured/abandoned wild baby bunny. Can you care for the bunny?

HRN is not licensed to care for wildlife. Please contact a wildlife rehabber in your area. Your state’s official website should have a list of licensed rehabbers.

How do I become a foster home for HRN?

Thank you for considering fostering! Please complete this application, and a member of our foster team will be in touch.

I would like to volunteer. How do I learn more about that?

Please complete this volunteer application. Please note that we receive a high volume of volunteer inquiries, and an HRN representative will reach out when a position you’re interested in opens up. We welcome your application, but kindly ask for your patience.
