July 28, 2026, Westford, MA – The House Rabbit Network (HRN), a non-profit dedicated to rescuing homeless rabbits and educating the public about rabbits and their care, is proud to announce it has been awarded $30,000 by the Felicia Rose Grant Program. This grant will enable HRN to cover operating expenses and provide medical care, nourishment, and enrichment for rescued rabbits, preparing them for successful adoption into loving homes.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Cummings Foundation for investing in animal welfare nonprofits like HRN,” said Suzanne Trayhan, President of the House Rabbit Network. “The Felicia Rose Grant allows us to provide necessary care for rabbits in need so they can heal, regain trust, and begin the next chapter of their lives.” 

Each year, HRN cares for 400-500 rabbits rescued from abandonment, owner surrender, and other difficult situations. Many arrive requiring veterinary attention and rehabilitation before they are ready for adoption. This grant will help ensure that financial barriers do not prevent rabbits from receiving the care they deserve.
