Holden & Cape Rescues
Late January 2019 we were asked to take twelve rabbits from a situation on Cape Cod where the owner lost their home and needed to place her rabbits. The day after they arrived, we were contacted by the Holden ACO about a large surrender where they estimated the family had 65 rabbits. Several groups, including HRN assited. As of this time we took in 22 rabbits from Holden- 13 adults, a mom with 5 kits and another mom with 2 kits. Since the family did not surrender all the rabbits, it is possible (and we hope) there may be a phase 2 and we will have more rabbits. That is 34 rabbits we took in in a 5 day period. At this point we are fundraising for their care. Huge thank you to everyone who came forward to foster rabbits for us. Luckily they seem to be fairly healthy. We have lots of spays and neuters to pay for.
