HRN Board Meeting (virtual)

- Minutes –
o Nikki LaRoche motion to approve minutes from 2/2026
o Unanimously approve minutes from February. - Discuss Staffing –
o Need to hire another vet- need to investigate salary
o First vaccine clinic getting scheduled
oWant to hire a vet tech to help handle increase in medically needy rabbits - Next Board –
o Nikki LaRoche and Rachel Minnie stepping down from board
o Pam Chatis, Rich Whelan and Suzanne Trayhan remaining in current position
o There were several applications for the board of directors. After reviewing
the applications and holding interviews it was decided to offer invitations to
join the board to Amanda Wonders, Amory Sivertson, Alycia Gray, and
Amanda Howard - Quarterly Report –
o Rachel to reach out to Dawn to coordinate portraits in the shelter
– Rachel to coordinate artists
– Rachel to work with Suzanne and meet next week to touch base.
o Paid employees should not be doing adoptions unless there are no other
options
o Sara helping setting up Dedham Bun Fest
o Need to work on proactive social media posting and storytelling to drive
engagement. - Personnel –
o HRN is having issues with a disgruntled former employee
o Discussion about how to handle this and if we should get a lawyer involved
o She has a sanctuary foster rabbit – She will be asked to either adopt or return that rabbit.
