HRN Board Meeting (virtual)

Attendance: Dawn Orsi, Sharon Dennehy, Pam Chatis, Rachel Minnie, Suzanne Trayhan, Rich Whelan, Nikki LaRoche

  • Meeting Minutes
    • August 26, 2025 meeting minutes unanimously approved
  • Personnel
    • Discussed and agreed on holiday bonuses; to discuss raises at February meeting
  • Vet Care benefit for HRN employees
    • Decision made to offer a new benefit for employees:
      • In-house vet care (unlimited) (for full and part-time employees), available as soon as Vet is onboard and ready
      • External vet care (up to a capped amount) (for full-time employees), available January 1
      • Action: Nikki to write up the benefit and share with Board, then Sharon will include in the Employee Handbook
  • Staffing
    • Need for additional help at the shelter working on administrative tasks; may consider offering the opportunity to shelter staff employees
  • Code of Conduct
    • Need to roll out to new volunteers
  • Spa Days
    • We need to identify more people to take leadership roles at Spa Day.
    • Action: Sharon to arrange a meeting with Suzanne and Lauren to discuss path forward
  • Review of Quarterly Report
