Bun sitting

1. There have been 56 invoices since 2/19 totaling $10,656 (we had 3 clients that were offered a discount so we got a number off from 0 or 5).
2. We have 45 booked up until 10/13 and 5 waiting to be filled, but I am waiting to hear back from 1 sitter to confirm 1 request, I will most likely be taking 1 of the others, and a 3rd is most likely going to withdraw his request since he found another sitter, but wanted to “see what we could find” so there are basically 2 open that I need to find a sitter for currently.
3. I was able to bring on 8 new sitters (2 were sitters previously, but weren’t on the current list so I reached out and got them back on) and I am in the process of onboarding 1 new sitter currently.
People continue to have issues with the address portion of the request form.  I received 3 or 4 this week alone that did not have the town and state in the address.  If we can add something like please list your complete address including town and state maybe that will help?  I don’t know what the issue is there, but it is an extra step when I need to figure out where the person lives.
Bonding Services

Bunny bonding program in development with Dawn Orsi as the coordinator.

Rachel created the online request form and modified the foster home agreement and waiver of liability to apply to bonding services.

Fee is $50/day with a minimum of 7 days paid via emailed invoice before an initial bonding consultation done at the shelter.

1. I still need to get the bonding home agreement forms for most of the bonders.  I plan on sending out a reminder asking everyone to get those agreement forms into me asap.
2. I have a few times for help about running a virtual “training”/info session, but I have not had any luck.  It may be best at this point to just leave it open to have people contact me if they have any questions about program protocol after filling out the agreement form and/or do an informal info session.  We can leave any type of training for people new to bonding (virtual or in person) to be provided on a one on one as needed basis.  Let me know what you think.
3. There are 3 people currently interested in the program – 1 adopter from this past week, 1 person who wishes to adopt to bond, and another person who lives in my town who adopted her bunnies from HRN.

Development Committee Update:

Grants

MAC grant was submitted by Suzanne requesting $16,800

Marion and Richard Graham grant was submitted by Suzanne requesting $10k for new cages.  (4 cage units of 3 cages each)

HRN would need to cover the approximately $600 needed over the $10k

CLA letter of inquiry was submitted 4/6 for the spay/neuter clinic. It was rejected 4/11.

Donation Management

Numbers for monthly donors remain consistent. Would still like to organize a membership drive.

Shelter

Things are running smoothly at the shelter.

Clinic

Suzanne discussed the budget with Bonnie and it was in line with what would be done. Board approved to proceed.

Frank McCarthy was hired as our general contractor. We came up with a preliminary design, which was sent to an architect. We have the first draft of a floorplan from the architect. The architect made changes to the design adding bathrooms needed for code, which impacted the functionality of the space. Instead of working with us to adjust the design, the contractor quit. We will be looking for a new contractor.

Foster Homes:

Completed and implemented a more comprehensive foster home application

Organized and conducted a foster home info session.  A followup email has been sent to those signed up with application attached

Collaborating with Dawn O for a training video for all new foster homes.  A quiz will be completed at the end of the training

Working on a foster home manual for foster homes to reference

Hotline:

Sadie is taking a break (will be available for backup in June) and we have new hotline volunteer Frances who started earlier this month and is doing great (she’s a Private Detective by day, so in a weird way, a great fit for the hotline!)
